Founder and CEO

Over 25 Years’ Experience

With over 25 years’ experience in African and Global broadcasting, Bronwyn is one of Africa’s most experienced and well-known broadcasters.

During 2018 and 2017 alone Bronwyn has chaired debates and panel discussions at World Economic Forum events including Switzerland (Davos), South Africa (Cape Town and Durban), UAE (Dubai), China (Dalian) and India (New Delhi).

She is also called upon by leading business organisations and institutes, such as Milken Institute, African Development Bank and the ABN Group (which includes CNBC Africa and Forbes Africa) to moderate key live broadcast sessions at their global events.

Her expertise has resulted in CEOs, Chairmen, Presidents, Prime Ministers and Ministers from across the African continent asking her to provide media training, and to advise on media strategy.

She is a highly successful trainer, bringing to the table not just her broadcast experience but also an understanding of the inner-workings of the corporate world having held senior positions with listed companies.

During her time in-house, responsibilities included, developing and executing financial strategies and heading investor relations departments, achieving impressive share price, market cap and dividend increases.

Meet The Nielsen Network Team

Janine Bester-Gertzen

Head of Business Operations

Janine Bester-Gertzen is head of operations at The Nielsen Network and has over 15 years media experience under her belt. She joined MoneyWeb as an Executive Radio Producer in 2005 until 2013 then joined CNBC Africa in 2013 as Head of Operations: Programming until 2018 when she left CNBC to join The Nielsen Network.

As head of operations it is Janine’s duty to manage all client relationships as well as solicit new business for the growing network. Janine has managed and overseen the production of hundreds of hours of financial radio and television programmes and her experience and knowledge of all media is invaluable in her role.

David O’Sullivan

Facilitator

David O’Sullivan is currently the host of KhayaFM’s award-winning Breakfast show and has been a journalist for the past 30 years.

He began his career as a cadet on the Rand Daily Mail, before moving into radio. He worked at Capital Radio for eight years, reaching the position of News and Sports Editor. He also worked as an international correspondent for several news networks, including Voice of America in the USA and Independent Radio News in the UK.

He then studied law and worked as a candidate attorney for Webber Wentzel Attorneys, specialising in media law with clients including the Star, Sowetan, Pretoria News, Carte Blanche and the BBC.

The lure of full-time radio was too strong and David left Webber Wentzel before writing his final board exams to join Talk Radio 702.
